It was very very simple. I was so happy because almost all of my loved ones were present (they love vien more than Pacman hehe) - my Kuya Jul’s family, the Villafuerte family, our friends, and officemates. I said almost all because my other kuya (I have 2 siblings) and his children were not able to come. I hope on vien’s 1st bday, my two brothers and their families would be present (yeah im already thinking vien’s bday on july!).
The church was St Andrew’s Parish Church in La Huerte Paranaque. The ceremony was set at 11am. I went there a bit earlier because I had to attend the seminar for parents and godparents. Aris went to Baclaran to fetch up the litson. Lydia’s Lechon in Baclaran is one of the main branches. They dont have delivery service.
After the seminar, I went inside the church and saw Aris and Vien. Some of our guests were also there. The ceremony started a bit late. Vien behaved well and went to sleep half of the time. Yes! I thought he’d be cranky because of the clothes he’s wearing (a white polo and a cargo pants). He’s not used of wearing this kind of clothes. He wears cotton sando and just a diaper most of the time.
Afterwhich, we headed to the King Crab House along Ninoy Aquino Ave for lunch. I was surprised when I got there. RJ (my officemate) and her friend Jackie dressed up the place so nicely. The balloon pillar was a blast. I saw some of the guests taking pictures with it. The cupcake souvenirs (c/o RJ) were also an eye popper. One of the guests told me that the cupcakes look and taste good. Buti na lang pinasobrahan ko (I asked RJ to make 70 cupcakes). Some of the guests were happy to go home with more than one cupcake on hand! The kids (and the kids-at-heart) were also happy to have nips on the table. They also brought home some nips. The tarp nga pala was designed by Rizza and Carlo. Thanks guys!
The food was great and SO MUCH! I never thought that the serving would be that much. It was supposed to be table reservations. But we asked the manager to have the food in buffet. Aris and I were so worried if the food would be enough for 50 guests. We thought that the list might go longer, so we ordered for pansit and lumpiang shanghai and aris bought a few kilos of lechon. Unfortunately, my other kuya and his family (around 10 heads) did not come. In short, there were so many leftovers! I gave some to the guests and we brought home what was left of the food.
Generally, the event went fine. Thank you to all the people who helped out. You know who you are hehe. I wanna share some pictures taken on that day. Enjoy!
