Toddling Toddler

My Vien is officially a toddler! His milk is upgraded from Enfapro to Enfagrow. We used to buy a 400-gram box of Enfapro and it would last for almost a week. Now, his Enfagrow would only last 3 days! Yes, that same 400-gram box of milk, now with a little added nutrients. Just thinking about the monthly expenses A. and I need to allot for milk alone makes me want to go back pumping for milk at work, not to mention baby and toddler products that we regularly buy for him. I’ve stopped pumping at work few weeks ago, as what A. and I have agreed on, since Vien has turned 1 year old. Though I still nurse him whenever I’m home, my supply is no longer sufficient for Vien’s voracious thirst for milk nowadays. Tinutungga na nya ang bottle nya!

But the best and most tiring thing is that being a toddler, Vien is now walking nonstop and running. He loves to play peek-a-boo or habulan. And I love to hear his giggles and squeaks and watch him drool every time he and his tatay play taguan. He seems to have sugar energy these past few nights. I can’t keep up! Bad mommy me, I really pull him down whenever he would start to crawl up and say goodnight for the nth times to Mickey Mouse on the wall or to his books. He does that even after being on a “sleep mode.” Akala ko antok na kasi hindi na siya masyado gumagalaw. But nooooo, nagpapahinga lang pala. Hay! Times like this, I wish A. has a day job instead; they used to do the “play till they drop” routine before going to bed.

I’m also thinking if Vien is ready for travel and outdoor fun. A. and I are planning to go to Bikol for a vacation. It would be our first time to go there to meet Vien’s Lola Ebot. She has been asking us to visit her and wanting to see his apo. I’m excited to have this trip; we sure need a nice car seat. Vien is getting malikot na kasi.  That’s why I’ve been looking for the best shopping search engine. I’ve been to ShopWiki and I must say, it has everything I want, from baby car seats to strollers and so many more! Right now, I’m desiring their newest convertible car seat. It would be perfect for a long drive.

MM #5: Part of the Family

It’s Mommy Moments once again. It’s been awhile since I had my last entry and I’ve missed a lot of great topics. But I’m back!

Today’s theme is “Part of the Family.” Here’s my entry:

Vien is now part of a very big and wonderful family. I have 2 brothers (with 4 kids each), while A. has 12 siblings (with 11 kids in total). Imagine all the gifts Vien would receive on Christmas day! (ooopps parinig hehe)

I’m glad that this family has been showing love for Vien from day one.
