Last trimester begins!

I’m on my 32nd week already. Eight more weeks and Little Ben will be ready to come out.

The baby’s crown-to-rump length is approximately 11.7 inches and his total length around 18.9 inches. The baby is about 4 pounds, is now able to breathe on its own, and continues to grow every day.  This little sucker is just about ready to come out. All he has to do is grow and add some fats on his body. My total weight gain at this point is 24 pounds.

Now I can’t imagine how I will be able to accommodate any more growth.  I look like I am ready to explode, anytime now. No joke! And Little Ben still has a couple of pounds more to grow?!!

Last weekend, I had a visit to my OB. She decided to check on the baby’s position in my womb. So she dugged her hands into my belly, feeling for the baby’s head and body. It was kind of uncomfortable (baby’s upside down, head down my right side), but I felt relieved -  the baby’s on its right position, with his back and buttocks on my left belly and his legs and hands on my right. It’s amazing how my doctor could tell where LIttle Ben’s body parts are! All I could tell is that I feel his movements have peaked, especially on the right part of my belly. There were even times that I could almost feel his feet/hands are too near my skin and I could almost touch him! And yes, there’s also occasional waves on my belly. A disfigured tummy doesn’t look good, I tell you, but it feels so wonderful. I will definitely miss Little Ben’s movements inside my womb when he finally come out. But of course, the joy of seeing him and touching him is much much more wonderful. I just couldn’t wait any longer. My excitement is getting stronger. Oh gawd!
